The Australian golfing scene is about to change with the imminent opening of the new Hamilton Island golf course now being built on nearby Dent Island. Players will take a short ferry ride from the resort to reach the course. The course is a spectacular design by Peter Thomson and will shortly be ready for use. This will become the 'Pebble Beach' of Australian Golf courses and the degree of difficulty will increase as the south east trade winds blow stronger. The views from the course will be panoramic over the spectacular Whitsunday passage. This golf course will put Hamilton Island on the map of legendary golfing destinations. It will be 6130 meters in length and will be surrounded by a range of luxury homes and villas as well as a superb clubhouse.

This course has been specifically designed to blend with the terrain and the environment on Dent Island. All of the natural vegetation and soils have been saved and an environmentally friendly irrigation system has been installed to make sure that the course is always kept in superb condition. On Hamilton Island itself there is a golf driving range with floating golf balls and you can also be transported to play the excellent layout at Laguna Keys on the mainland. On opening, there will be some great packages and specials and demand is sure to be strong so get in touch with us early and make your reservation. This addition to Hamilton Island's golf facilities will be sure to make your holiday or conference all the more enjoyable.
