Hamilton Island is the only island with an airport that is serviced daily by Virgin Blue and Jetstar Airways. All flights come from either Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane and if you are travelling from Cairns you can fly with Qantas. If you decide to fly into Prosperpine which is approximately one hour from Airlie Beach you can catch the Fantasea Ferry Boat over to the island from Shute Harbour.
